We bought a discount dinner/theatre combination ticket and both were excellent. The play was surprisingly good, and we even bought the CD the music was so impressive. Definitely would recommend.

Finally ,THE perfect Sound Of Music

when a major musical is revived one is given the oppurtunity to compare and conrast the vocal performance of each star by listening to the different cast recordings.being a fan of musical comedy i made it my bussiness to collect alsmost all of the english language albums versions of as many shows as possible. In my collection i have :the original broadway cast, london cast,london revival with petula clark,broadway revival,australian cast,... read more,motion picture sountrack,1989 studio cast and now the 2006 london palladium cast.
on all levels this cast and recording is superior to all the rest and the fact that the lead was chosen from a reality televison show makes it even more unbelievable. she skates through the score like a seasoned pro like no even rebecca luker,mary martin amd petula clark (my favorite marias up until now) could do. she blends he modern voice with the semi-operatic musical theater voice in a way that maria sound less like a charater on stage and more like person. with great new orchestrations and a wonderful ensemble cast, this sound of music will be a warm and beautiful addition to you collection
