Still going strong
Review by: sisisis, Feb 5, 2008

It's been three years since I last saw Blood Brothers. We had some guests from abroad so we took them. I was heesitant about seeing it again but second time round it was still enjoyable, though I can't believe it has been running this long. i think it will keep going strong forever!

Don't miss this show!!!!

I have seen Blood Brothers 3 times now, twice in London and once in Nottingham, each time with a different cast and it is, quite simply, fantastic. Not a big budget extravaganza like some of the other musicals out there, but it still shines out. You are taken through every emotion from laughter to tears. The second time I saw this was with my mum and family. My mum bought family tickets, and included my 26 yr old boyfriend, who had never been to ... read more a west end show (and had categorically said he would never want to). He came along, under duress ... and loved it. He has also seen it again since. I would also disagree with the earlier reviewer who said it may be a bit old fashioned. My 13 year old sister went on to buy the original script book and has also been back again to see it 3 more times since. I cannot recommend this show enough. The only problem with this show, is finding another one as good to follow it! *****

Funny & Emotional
Review by: Joey, Sep 23, 2006

I love this little gem of a musical. The song's are fantastic, the story is very funny at parts, and shockingly emotional, especially at the end which you know is coming, but when it does, it slams you to the back of your seat!
It is usually quite easy to pick up discounted tickets for Blood Brothers, so on that basis I would 100% reccomend it! However it may be a bit "old" for younger audiences.
I have seen it three times over the ... read more past 5 years or so, and I will be seeing it again!

Nice- but only "nice"
Review by: ed239, Sep 13, 2006

Liked it, a little old fashioned for a west-end show. The idea was nice, the actores were average except the mother that was good. overall a good show. (except for the bit with the make believe horse, awful)

Blood Brothers is my first musical and I couldn't have dreamed it better. This is one amazing experience that I will never forget for the rest of my life. I especially liked the twin brothers and the way the they captured the characters so well.

Get a real glimpse of england
Review by: lovedlondon, May 2, 2006
|
This was our first time in London, so we wanted to get tickets for a "real British musical". Blood Brothers was an excellent choice. The versatile sets evoked an authentic environment. And the play really managed to capture the changing times in England, and the plot helped to portray the social issues of Britain such as the difference beween the rich and poor, and the social classes.
It was very nice and the chorus "And we'll go dancing.... read more..." stayed in our minds the rest of the trip in England.
